At the end of a football match, last October 4, he stabbed two members of the opposing team, one of them seriously. It all started with arguments on the playing field. Giuseppe Musella was tracked down by the police a few hours later, in his home in Naples, and an arrest warrant was issued against him, later validated; his son, who was initially untraceable, went to the police with his lawyer. The lawyer Rosario Arienzo, who is defending both, has announced that he will appeal to the Review Court.

Fundamental to the investigation was a video, shot by some of those present at the football match in the Miano field, which also captured moments of the fight and which is explicitly referred to in the validation order for Musella.
It was from the analysis of the card, as well as from the accounts of other witnesses, that the agents reconstructed the events. In the video, we read in the order, we see the footballer with the number 5 jersey, later identified as Gennaro Musella, who goes to the sidelines to take something from a bag and put it in his pocket, presumably the knife that he will use shortly; then he approaches one of the opponents and strikes him several times.
