Reporting and debt collection for 26 beach resorts in the provinces of Naples and Caserta that in the last 5 years have not paid local taxes for a sum of over two million euros.
The financiers of the Naval Station of Napoli, within the framework of a complex service activity in the sectors of protection of maritime state property and the correct payment of local taxes, have identified 26 economic entities, managers of bathing facilities, that from 2017 to 2021 did not pay the required local taxes, recovering a loss of income in the coffers of Local Authorities equal to €2.434.713,97.
The investigative activity, which began in May, was conducted in the municipalities of Naples, Bacoli (NA), Monte di Procida (NA), Pozzuoli (NA), Massa Lubrense (NA) and Sessa Aurunca (CE). The operating military verified the validity of the state concessions, ascertaining the regular possession of the customs authorizations and the regularity of the urban planning titles necessary for the assembly and dismantling of the removable structures of a seasonal nature.
The operation, inspired by the principle of tax equity, was created following the most relevant and modern jurisprudential interpretations of the sector legislation and was carried out in close coordination with the local Administrations and the relevant Bodies.
At the end of the complex service operation, local authorities and the Inland Revenue territorially competent, for the necessary follow-ups of competence, 26 company, in order to recover the sums owed and never paid relating to local taxes, which from 2017 to 2021, amounted to €2.434.713,97.
All accommodation and beach facilities are not registered
Furthermore, the failure to register all the accommodation and beach facilities located in the vicinity of the maritime state property and river, occupying a total surface area of approximately 26.946,62 mXNUMX, with the related cost for land registry registration fines set at minimum amounts from 268,00 euros to 1.032,00 euros and maximum amounts from 2.066,00 euros up to 8.624,00 euros.
The naval sector of the Corps has once again demonstrated its potential in carrying out, on the coastal strip, exclusively, the functions of economic police and financial resources entrusted by the legislator. In this case, the large amount recovered constitutes an important income not paid into the coffers of the Local Authorities, to protect the competitive regime with the economic operators in the sector who comply, regularly, with the
tax obligations.
