Yesterday the police officers of the police stations Saint John-Barra, Ponticelli, Secondigliano and Poggioreale, the financial police of the Provincial Command of Naples, personnel of the Local Police of the Municipality of Naples and the Metropolitan Police, with the support of the Canine Unit and the Kites of the General Prevention Office and the Campania Crime Prevention Department, carried out an extraordinary service of territorial control in the San Giovanni a Teduccio and Barra neighborhoods.
During the operation, 377 people were identified, 220 vehicles were checked, 11 violations of the Highway Code were contested for lack of insurance coverage, driving without a license, failure to undergo MOT, failure to comply with a stop sign and driving a vehicle with a foreign license plate without a rental contract; furthermore, the officers reported a man for driving without a license since he had never obtained it, having repeated the violation in the two-year period.
The operators also checked 5 commercial premises in via delle Repubbliche Marinare, Luigi Volpicella and Domenico Atripaldi, two of which were fined for failure to issue a receipt, while in two others the presence of 7 irregular workers was found who were reported to the Territorial Labor Inspectorate of Naples.
Again, the police carried out a check at the home of a man in Corso Bruno Buozzi where they found a bag containing approximately 137 grams of cocaine, a package containing approximately 2,5 grams of heroin, a small bag containing approximately 0,6 grams of marijuana, two precision scales, two cell phones, 640 euros and 7 micro cameras connected to a closed-circuit video surveillance system that framed the external perimeter of the building.
CB, a 35-year-old Neapolitan with a criminal record, was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
Finally, they carried out another check at a woman's apartment in Via Luigi Martucci where they found 19 sticks of hashish weighing approximately 93 grams.
The woman, a 22-year-old Neapolitan, was reported for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
