Record numbers with the participation of 55 Municipalities from 8 Italian Regions.
55 participating municipalities, distributed across 8 Italian regions, over 300 schools involved and more than 8 thousand students, these are the numbers that distinguish the highly anticipated 11th edition of “School Movie-Cinedù”, a film festival for schools, conceived and carried forward with great determination and infinite enthusiasm by Enza Ruggiero.
A review that consists of the creation of short films by students of Primary Schools and Lower Secondary Schools from all over Italy who join the project.
Before arriving at the long-awaited finale on July 11 and 12 in Paestum, some cities will host screening and selection events for the videos made. The key word for this 11th edition: DESIRE. Capaccio – Paestum, Mercato San Severino, Baronissi, Serino and Sarno are the first five locations that, starting tomorrow, May 27, will host the stages of the film festival.
For those cities where more short films have been made involving the different schools of the area, the videos will be subjected to selection, which will be held respectively in their own cities, and only two shorts will have access to the final and will represent their Municipality.
Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May starting at 17.30:12 pm, in collaboration and hosted by DMED, the first appointment with the screening of the short films of the Ic Capaccio Paestum and the IC Capaccio Capoluogo will be held at the NEXT Ex Tabacchificio in Capaccio Paestum. There will be 30 competing works that will be selected by a jury of experts over the two days. The first day will be dedicated entirely to the classes of the Primary school, while the second day will be the turn of the classes of the Secondary school of I Grado. The emotions will continue at the Teatro Comunale di Mercato San Severino on May 8, in Baronissi on June 9, in Serino on June 21 and again in Sarno on June XNUMX. The partnership with Banco Alimentare and the Patronage of the Senate of the Italian Republic have also been confirmed for this edition.

We started our work at the beginning of the school year, going to schools and writing the scripts of the short films with students and teachers. Then we moved on to the filming phase.
