There is a disputed girl at the center of the fight that led to the death of 18-year-old Giuseppe Turco Villa Literno.
The twenty-year-old arrested for the murder confessed to the Casal di Principe police that he had hit him in an argument over a disputed girl, who had been romantically linked to the victim in the past and who now apparently had a relationship with him.
The young confessed offender – of Moroccan origins, a plumber, resident in Casal di Principe – said that there had been a fight, in which several people were involved, and that, to defend himself, he took out the knife with which he struck Turco.
The fight was allegedly triggered by the girl's arrival outside a bar in Piazza Villa, in Casal di Principe, where both the attacker and the victim were present. The fight that ended in murder was preceded by a verbal altercation.
Immediately after the incident, the twenty-year-old fled but was quickly tracked down thanks to the testimonies of the victim's friends, who reported that the two had previously clashed on social media for the same reason.
The place where the crime took place is monitored by some video surveillance systems whose images, however, have not given a significant contribution to the investigators. Giuseppe Turco would have turned 18 next October.
He was killed by several stab wounds (at least eight). The twenty-year-old arrested is accused of voluntary homicide. A few years ago he had been caught with a firearm, again by the Carabinieri, in front of a shop and for this he had been reported for carrying an illegal firearm in a public place. The victim, on the other hand, had no criminal record.
