Christophe Galtier, outgoing technician of the PSG, under arrest with his son, is accused of having done discriminatory comments, racists e Islamophobic when he was driving the Nice, in the 2021-2022 season. In an email to the club's management, revealed by the freelance reporter Roman Molina and from the radio station Rmc, the former director of the Nice, Julien Fournier – with which Galtier had a conflictual relationship – reported considerations attributed to the Parisian coach: considerations referring, among other things, to an alleged excessive number of “blacks and muslims” in the team, a number that would have been better to limit.
“I am deeply shocked by things said about me and spread by some people irresponsibly”, Galtier had defended himself in a press conference after the story emerged in mid-April. His lawyer, Olivier Martin, announced in this regard that he had filed a complaint against Fournier himself and two journalists for threats and defamation.
As part of the investigation, Fournier he admitted to having been “listened to” on May 22, refusing to add anything else. Several players and officials also Nice, including the club president Jean-Pierre Rivere and the former coach Didier Digard, would have been questioned by investigators.
