“Spread his good everywhere so that there is respect for others as he wanted. Because for him there was none”.
Moved, her voice broken by tears, Mariarosaria, the mother of the Cnr intern Fulvio Filace, died in the explosion of the prototype car on the Naples ring road together with the researcher Maria Vittoria Prati, he pronounced these words yesterday in memory of his son immediately after the homily in the Church of S. Maria del Carmine in San Giorgio a Cremano.
While a cousin of Fulvio, always at the end of the homily, asked for him “truth and justice”. Next to the husband Salvatore, Mariarosaria sent a message, greeted by a very long applause from the many friends and acquaintances who filled the church.
“He was the son every mother wants. He wanted to save the world because he said that men should not die of cancer from gas emissions. He said, ‘Mom, I will find a solution for everyone,’ and I said, ‘How naive you are, my son,’ but I knew he could do it. He was a good man.
You all asked me what you can do for me. Fulvio spread love, good for others. Spread his good everywhere so that there is respect for others as he wanted. Because he didn't have it", the mother explained.
Celebrating the funeral was Don Orlando Esposito. “Pope Francis insists on respect for the environment and precisely to improve the quality of the air we breathe, you Fulvio with Maria Vittoria, were experimenting on a project 'to save lives': that is, converting traditional cars into solar panel cars to reduce pollution” he said in a passage of the homily.
"Now it's up to us, like Jesus in the Gospel we heard: to touch to say get up, live, you are not dead. Now it's up to us to want strongly not to pollute, not to dirty this earth of ours that must have the taste of paradise, of happiness, of respect. A project of yours and from today increasingly ours to breathe, to live, to know how to be on this earth".
Among the benches the vice-rector of the University of Naples 'Federico II' Rita Mastrullo and the director of the Department of Industrial Engineering of 'Federico II' Nicholas White in addition to the deputy of the Green Alliance – Left, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, representatives of the municipal administration.
“A community has gathered around Fulvio” said Mayor Giorgio Zinno. “There are many obscure points on which we ask that clarity be made as soon as possible because a 25-year-old boy cannot die while experimenting with a new prototype. It is something crazy, beyond any reasonableness.
This is the appeal we make to those who are seeking the truth today and we will do so together with their friends who have asked to hold a torchlight procession". And on Monday 3 July at 20pm a torchlight procession in memory of Fulvio will depart from Villa Bruno.
Meanwhile, answers are expected from the investigation by the Public Prosecutor's Office Naples: the hypotheses of crime, in the current file against unknown persons, are those of double homicide and arson with the aim of shedding light on the causes of this tragedy.
