Naples, taxi drivers attacked with fire extinguishers

“Questa notte, a Napoli, i conducenti di diversi taxi sono stati aggrediti al corso Umberto da centauri muniti di fire extinguishers a polvere”.

Lo rende noto l’associazione taxi drivers di base che ha acquisito la notizia dai post pubblicati sui social da colleghi che la scorsa notte hanno prestato servizio in quella zona della città.

“The dust – the association reports again – it was sprayed directly into the passenger compartment, into the driver's eyes, putting at risk the sight and safety not only of the taxi driver, who could have gone off the road, but also of any pedestrians, who could have been involved".

“There is a security issue to address”, highlights the association that calls for the installation of video cameras in cars: “we have been asking the Municipality of Naples for this for some time, we are a category at risk and nevertheless in the approval of the budget nothing was allocated for us in the non-scheduled public service”.
