We're almost there, all that's missing is the official proposal and then it will be time for announcements. Luciano Spalletti he is the chosen one to replace Roberto Mancini at the helm of the Italian national football team, in the role of coach. Talking about it in this morning's edition is the Journal of Sport, which confirms the agreement with the coach who last year became champion of Italy with the Napoli.
A three-year contract is ready for Spalletti, until September 2026. A rather complex negotiation is therefore coming to an end, but still far from being resolved: after that Aurelio De Laurentiis he demonstrated that not wanting to waive the clause which frees the Certaldo technician from his contract with the Napoli, expiring in June 2024, the FIGC is reportedly considering taking legal action.
Meanwhile, in the sports field, Spalletti is preparing to make his official debut as coach with the presentation press conference, perhaps as early as this Monday. Then total focus on preparing for the two matches against Northern Macedonia e Ukraine of early September, already decisive for the qualification for theEuropean of Germany 2024.
