The business of fake accidents and insurance scams was all in the hands of Angelo Guarino, 39 years old, son-in-law of the boss Pasqualino Puca, known as 'o minorenne'.
He is the only one to have ended up in prison this morning in the context of the investigation conducted for two years yesterday by the Carabinieri of Marianella and culminating this morning in the blitz ordered by the investigating judge Fabrizio Finamore of the Fifth Section of the Court of Napoli.
Placed under house arrest were his brother Giuseppe Guarino, 38 years old, who was responsible for finding the cars to be used in the fake accidents, and Filomena Palmisano, 58 years old, another important figure in the organization because, as a radiology technician at a well-known private center in Naples, she had the task of making appointments for the fake injured and then drawing up the fake diagnostic reports.
Massimo Niro, 52, an illegal parking attendant who stole cars used by the organization, was also placed under house arrest.
