“The adoption of the resolution for the Plan for productive settlements will be a great development opportunity for the suburbs and for the entire city”. Ilaria Abagnale, mayor of Sant'Antonio Abate, said this.
“The PIP resolution is a decisive step towards the implementation plan – explains Ilaria Abagnale – which will be approved in the coming weeks and which will finally provide Sant'Antonio Abate with a decisive urban planning tool for industrial development. With this document, we have reviewed some parameters that have improved the urban planning tool”.
Thanks to the new plan, new industrial, artisanal, logistic, commercial and management activities will be able to settle in the areas identified by the PIP. The area will be divided into macro-production sectors and the road connections towards the M3 bypass will be further improved.
"The document – says the mayor of Sant'Antonio Abate – dictates specific political directions that will review the measures of the minimum sector, which will now be set at 40 thousand square meters, and the measures of the minimum lot, which will drop to 2 thousand square meters. All this because the dimensions of the PIP area are substantial, but at the same time greater opportunities for participation will also be given to companies with lower investment needs”.
Among the innovations foreseen by the PIP there is the overcoming “of the monofunctional destination of the sectors. Furthermore – adds Ilaria Abagnale – the possibility of monetizing the urbanizations will not be given, while each sector will have to guarantee a complete and autonomous realization of the necessary works. Among the measures that have been taken, there is also the reduction of the recreational-receptive area to 50 thousand square meters, so as to favor the creation of another sector, perhaps of a commercial nature, which will allow more opportunities for companies that want to invest”.
The plan will affect an area of approximately 520 thousand square meters near via Scafati and via Casa Iovine and, above all, towards the M3 link road that connects the city center directly with the State Road 268 of Vesuvius and the Naples-Salerno motorway. "Plan – concludes Ilaria Abagnale – will allow us to decisively redevelop that area of Sant'Antonio Abate, with the possibility of having new production facilities, new jobs and new services. The PIP was one of the objectives that this administration wanted to achieve”.
