The Carabinieri of Orta di Atella, in the province of Caserta, they arrested a 30-year-old man for sexual assault.
The victim, a 25-year-old woman, said she had met the man a short time before in a supermarket. The man, after having persistently attempted to approach the woman, had managed to have a meeting with her on November 13.
The two had a beer together, but the woman began to feel sick. She asked the man to take her home, but he, taking advantage of her state of illness, took her to a hotel in Giugliano in Campania and raped her repeatedly.
The woman, due to her physical condition, was unable to resist. She was staggering and unable to even walk.
The investigations of the Carabinieri, directed by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples North, allowed the reconstruction of the incident thanks also to the viewing of a video taken from the surveillance cameras.
The man was arrested and placed under house arrest.
