Military personnel belonging to the Carabinieri Forestale Nuclei of Sessa Aurunca, Roccamonfina, Vairano Patenora and Pietramelara, assisted by technical personnel from ARPAC of the Caserta Department, carried out an inspection at an oil mill located in the municipality of Sessa Aurunca, in Via Belvedere.
The inspection revealed the existence of a discharge pipe for the olive washing water produced by the oil mill, with final discharge into the nearby Bad Weather ditch, as well as another pipe used to illegally dispose of vegetation water, transported by tanker, coming from the olive milling, on a wooded area not included in the "Annual communication for the agronomic use of vegetation water and wet pomace from oil mills".
The aforementioned military personnel immediately proceeded with the preventive seizure of the olive washing water discharge and of 76 ml of galvanized steel piping used to illegally move the vegetation water.
The legal representative of the company that manages the aforementioned oil mill has been reported to the Judicial Authority at liberty for the crimes of unauthorized discharge of industrial waste water and for agronomic use of vegetation water produced by the oil mill outside of the cases and procedures provided for by the regional technical regulations.
Finally, during the inspection, an administrative offence was also discovered and contested relating to the presence of a well, without a flow meter, for which the authorization for pumping by the Province of Caserta was not found.
