A magical journey in the Fairytale Village in Colliano

Una kermesse straordinaria dalla Notte di San Lorenzo al post Ferragosto, in cui il caratteristico borgo medievale nella frazione di Collianello, Colliano (SA), sarà totalmente abitato dai personaggi delle più belle favole classiche e moderne.

Present at the press conference were the speakers: Michelangelo Lurgi, President of the Rete Destinazione Sud of Confindustria and CEO of Giroauto, Gerardo Strollo, Mayor of Colliano, Carmine Belpede, Mayor of Ricigliano, Marcello Formica, representative of the administration of Contursi Terme, Aurora Manuele CEO of “Ma dove vivere i cartoni?” and the artistic director Francesco Chiaiese. A conference characterized by joy and fantasy, with the presence of many friendly characters who will animate the Borgo such as the Talking Cricket, Alladin, Princess Aurora, Cinderella, Pinocchio and others.

The Destination South Network

The Sele/Tanagro/Vallo di Diano Destination Association was founded in Oliveto Citra (Salerno) on January 25, 2017. This is considered the First Model Destination, promoted by the Southern Destination Network. Made up of 32 municipalities, the association was founded by 197 members, including entrepreneurs, representatives of associations, institutions, foundations, universities, freelancers and citizens. Michelangelo Lurgi is the elected president, while Marcello Formica is the vice president.

The “Fairytale Village” Project

All’interno dei progetti della Destinazione, “Il Borgo delle Favole” rappresenta un progetto primario. Questo evento vedrà artisti, ballerini e cantanti di “Ma dove vivono i Cartoni?” animare il Norman Village con storie, percorsi immersivi, giochi, spettacoli live e tante sorprese. Personaggi delle favole come Cenerentola, Mirabel di Encanto, Pinocchio, e il Grillo Parlante coinvolgeranno le famiglie in un percorso immersivo per visitare il Borgo, offrendo un’esperienza in cui gli spettatori diventeranno attori.

A Marriage of History and Magic

“The Borgo delle Favole joins the Borgo dei Normanni,” said Michelangelo Lurgi, indicating that this union will guarantee an extraordinary summer for children and their families. The Borgo, dating back to 1200, retains its original charm with stone streets and breathtaking views from the Infinito and Galino terraces. In this wonderful place, the team of “Ma dove vivere i Cartoni?” will stage a multifaceted artistic tour, also offering tastings of typical products at Palazzo Borriello.

Aurora Manuele emphasized that “we have reached the fifth edition of this project” that always manages to enchant children and families in the name of the “Family Experience” trend. The Borgo will be animated by fairytale characters who will interact with visitors through stories, adventures and challenges, culminating in live shows on the beautiful terraces. The widespread hotel, the local cuisine and the beauty of fairytales will offer a complete and engaging experience.

Francesco Chiaiese expressed the challenge of creating an experiential path between theater, music and games in a place so rich in history. The event will offer visitors the opportunity to spend weekends or weeks of vacation in the heart of the Sele-Tanagro valley, in Colliano, at over 700 meters above sea level.
