Estate d'Autore 2024: An Immersion in Culture in Avellino and Irpinia
Terebinto Edizioni has recently unveiled the program of “Estate d'Autore 2024”, a cultural festival consisting of nine unmissable events that will be held in Avellino and in various locations in Irpinia in the month of August. Organized by Ettore Barra's publishing house, the festival will present new editorial releases involving renowned authors and scholars who will discuss history, poetry and current affairs with a focus on the themes of the Irpinia territory.
Avellino Events Program
In Avellino, the Mondadori bookstore in the heart of the city center will host three events of great interest. The first event, scheduled for August 9 at 18:30 p.m., will see Emilia Dente present “SCATTI D'IRPINIA. THE ROOTS FLOWER”. The second event, scheduled for August 22, also at 18:30 p.m., is dedicated to the work of Lucie Boissentin “IRPINIA 2053. A LOOK TO THE FUTURE TO RETHINK THE PRESENT”. Finally, on August 29, Paolo Saggese will discuss his work entitled “THE SCHOOL AND THE 'SOUTHERN QUESTION' IN THE FIRST CENTURY OF NATIONAL UNITY (VOL. II)”.
Irpinia Events Program
Irpinia will not be outdone, offering six major events. On August 7 at 19:00 p.m., Michele Sisto will present “THE HOUSING OF MEN IS THE EARTH” at the Cathedral of Frigento. On August 9 at 18:00 p.m., Lacedonia will host Paolo Saggese with his book. On August 13 at 18:30 p.m. in Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi, Gianni Festa, Giuseppe Iuliano and Paolo Saggese will present “GERARDO BIANCO. THE MAN, THE SOUTHERNIST, THE SCHOLAR, THE POLITICIAN”. August 16th will be a busy day with two events: at 10:30 in Pietrastornina, Claudio D'Antonio will talk about "THE D'ANTONIO FAMILY IN FURMO DI PIETRASTORNINA IN THE 18TH AND 00TH CENTURIES", while at 19:18 in Castelvetere, Paolo Saggese will return to discuss his work on the "Southern Question". The final event will be held on August 00th at XNUMX:XNUMX at the Ducal Castle of Bisaccia with Lucie Boissentin once again as the protagonist.
