This morning, former Cagliari footballer Andrea Capone, 43, was found dead in a hotel in the city center. The player, known for his time with the Rossoblu and several other Italian teams, had a head wound. Emergency services and police immediately arrived on the scene.
According to initial reconstructions, it is hypothesized that death may have occurred following an accidental fall, perhaps down the stairs, during which Capone violently hit his head.

Andrea Capone, born in 1981, grew up in the youth teams of Cagliari, making his professional football debut with the Sardinian team. During his career, he also played for other teams such as Sora, Treviso, Vicenza, Grosseto and Salernitana. In 2001 he wore the jersey of the Italian Under 20 national team, standing out as one of the emerging talents of Italian football of those years.
