Yesterday afternoon, the officers of the Decumani Police Station witnessed a scene that left them astonished. Looking out of a window, almost camouflaged by the cracked curtains, an elderly woman, whose features seemed marked more by the years than by worries, conducted a rapid and discreet exchange with a young man.

An exchange that, to the expert eye of the police, was nothing more than a drug deal.

Sensing what was hidden behind that curtain, the officers intervened promptly, blocking the young buyer and going back to the woman's home.

The apartment, apparently tidy and cozy, hid a secret in every corner. In a kitchen drawer, among pots and napkins, lay small packages containing hashish.

But the most shocking discovery awaited the police in a safe, hidden behind a painting of a seascape. Inside, well guarded, were nine blocks of hashish.
