And this morning an anti-drug blitz shook the provinces of Naples, Salerno and Catania, leading to the arrest of 51 people, accused of managing a drug trafficking ring worth 8 million euros.
The operation, conducted by the Carabinieri of the Torre Annunziata Group, saw the execution of a precautionary custody order issued by the GIP of the Torre Annunziata Court, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
During the blitz, 15 people were taken to prison, 17 were placed under house arrest and 19 were required to report to the judicial police. Of the 51 measures, 48 were carried out because 2 are abroad and 1 is still wanted.
