The third Outdoor Film Festival of San Valentino Torio is about to unleash chaos with international stars promising sparks and surprises. Directed by Giuliano Squitieri and organized by the Cultural Association Soffermiamoci, the event returns from July 3 to 6 in the province of Salerno, after having driven over 15 thousand participants crazy last year and generated more than a million interactions online – an explosive mix of cinema, talks and awards that will not disappoint fans hungry for excitement.
The main guests promise to light up the stage with unmissable encounters. Asa Butterfield, star of cult series like Sex Education and iconic films like The Boy in the Striped Pajamas and Hugo, will be the center of attention on July 6: he will meet exclusively with the young jury members to share his view on contemporary cinema and then win the Taurus Award. Last but not least, Tyler Posey – star of the historic and beloved Teen Wolf – will take to the main stage on July 4 for an unfiltered talk about his career, where he will also receive the Taurus Award. Finally, Fabian Wagner, director of photography for giants like Game of Thrones and House of Dragons, will hold a free masterclass on July 5 entitled “From Paper to Screen: Writing, Production and Distribution”, with a focus on screenwriting, production and distribution.

For short films, Daria D'Antonio - award-winning director of photography - leads a panel with Roberta Torre, Valentina De Amicis, Antonio Moscoli and Luca Cantone D'Amore, ready to decree the winners with votes that will make the directors in the competition tremble.Statements from the front
The announcement came during the press conference at the Italian Pavilion of the 78th Cannes Film Festival. **”Being in Cannes – said Giuliano Squitieri – represents an extraordinary milestone, achieved after just two editions. It is concrete proof that even young people, with determination and vision, can get anywhere. After last year's incredible edition, we felt a great responsibility: to offer an even more engaging, even more meaningful festival. It wasn't easy, but we did it. This year we brought more international guests, more films, more energy, more emotions. But above all, more kids. Because the real stars, for us, are them: young people. They are the beating heart of the Outdoor Film Festival. And we hope to reach more and more of them, continuing to inspire them, listen to them and put them at the center.”****"We are particularly happy with this presence at the Cannes Film Festival - commented Michele Strianese, mayor of San Valentino Torio - Outdoor Film Festival is a cultural but also artistic event very important for our community, for our city of lovers and for the entire surrounding area. As always we support this initiative with great conviction thinking that it is not only a cultural and social initiative but also important for promoting the area."**
The full program and all guests will be announced in the coming weeks.

It is interesting to see how festivals like this can attract so many young and famous artists. However, I wonder if the organization will be able to manage all the guests and the works in competition well, given the high number.
