Circumvesuviana: EAV worker electrocuted: his condition improves

The condition of the EAV worker who was electrocuted this morning by an electrical cable at the San Giorgio a Cremano substation in the province of Naples is improving. The Campania regional public transport company announced the news, specifying that the employee is "on the road to recovery."

The accident caused rail traffic on the Naples-Sorrento Circumvesuviana line to be suspended starting around 8:00 a.m. to allow for technical checks by the relevant authorities.

The situation subsequently returned to normal in the stretch between San Giovanni a Teduccio and Torre del Greco, where the train service was reactivated after the necessary checks.
