The finance police of the Avellino Provincial Command have executed a precautionary custody order under house arrest against the accountant AA, issued by the investigating judge of Avellino at the request of the Irpinia Prosecutor's Office.

Furthermore, the seizure of money and other assets up to the amount of over 100 thousand euros was carried out. The suspect, known in the professional environment, is considered responsible for embezzlement and fraud aggravated by the abuse of public functions, carried out in the role of curator and judicial custodian in many bankruptcy and enforcement procedures pending before the Avellino judges.

The investigations, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office led by the prosecutor Domenico Airoma, were triggered following a report forwarded in July 2019 by the bankruptcy judge for alleged anomalies in the withdrawal movements from the current accounts of a bankruptcy procedure, in which the suspect was acting as a trustee. The episode led to the issuing of an initial restrictive measure and a seizure against the suspect, followed by his replacement in the bankruptcy and enforcement procedures then pending at the Court of Avellino.
