A 44-year-old woman of Russian origin was found dead inside an abandoned building in Mercogliano. It was a man who had been frequenting the place for some time who raised the alarm and reported that the woman had been missing for several days.
The Carabinieri of the provincial command of Avellino arrived at the site of the discovery to begin the investigation. The Public Prosecutor's Office ordered the seizure of the body, which was transferred to the mortuary of the "Moscati" hospital in Avellino.
A coroner, Carmen Semente, was appointed to determine the cause of death. The woman's acquaintance was questioned at length to reconstruct the contacts and last movements of the 44-year-old.
