The Vice President of the Regional Council of Campania: “Everyone's commitment is needed to avoid losing skills when industry starts running again”
"Aerospace is one of the strategic sectors of our region, which has clearly felt the recessive effects of the pandemic crisis, which hit it in its phase of greatest growth. Faced with this scenario, full synergy between all institutional levels is necessary to offer support to a sector that has made the industrial history of our territories and in which Campania boasts very high-profile skills. The pandemic has unfortunately produced a radical decline in passenger transport, and consequently a reduction in the number of aircraft. A crisis that worries us particularly, especially in light of the restructuring plan illustrated by Leonardo, and which risks overwhelming the companies in the supply chain". Thus the vice president of the Regional Council of Campania Valeria Ciarambino.
The future of aerospace
"The future of aerospace must be one of the priorities of the regional and national political agenda. I am certain that all institutions, both at national and regional level, will do their part to support work, employment and future growth, immediately identifying measures and interventions to relaunch in anticipation of a post-pandemic scenario. Personally, I will work in synergy with the government and will take action at regional level, also asking to meet Leonardo's managers in the coming days, to be able to define together the initiatives to be undertaken, so as not to be caught unprepared when the market recovers and the aerospace industry returns to high levels".
