I police of the Qualiano station arrested Domenico Fragalà, a 19-year-old with no criminal record, last night for the crime of road homicide.
The boy, driving his car, an Audi A1, at breakneck speed in the city centre with three friends on board, lost control of the car and collided with another vehicle travelling on the same stretch of road.
Following the impact, the boys' car overturned and one of them, 16-year-old Gennaro Nappa from Villaricca, lost his life due to the injuries he sustained.
The other two youths were expected to recover within 30 days due to multiple fractures, while the occupants of the other car involved suffered minor injuries.

The driver, unharmed, was subjected to tests to determine whether he had been under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the results of which will be available later. The same, taking into account his driving behavior, also ascertained through video surveillance images acquired, was arrested and placed under house arrest.
