Phishing scam attempt. INPS warns all its users that a phishing scam attempt is currently underway
INPS warns all its users that a scam attempt is currently underway via phishing emails that, exploiting apparent communications from the Institute, invite you to download and fill out an attached form to access safeguard benefits to mitigate the economic hardship caused by the pandemic.
In this specific case, a fictitious certified email address is used, similar to those of INPS, and the email is signed with the name and surname of a real-life official of the Institute.
All users are therefore advised to be wary of communications that propose to download any attachments, as they are aimed at fraudulently stealing personal data or data relating to credit cards and/or bank or postal accounts.
In fact, we remind you that information on INPS benefits can only be consulted by accessing the portal directly. www.inps.it and that INPS, for security reasons, never sends, under any circumstances, emails containing forms to download or clickable links.
