The vehicle continued its journey carrying out dangerous maneuvers for road traffic and triggering a chase that ended in Via Parrocchia where the driver abandoned the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot only to be stopped after a struggle.
The police found that the driver, driving a car subjected to administrative seizure, did not have a driving license as it had been revoked.
Luciano Tafuri, a 41-year-old from San Giuseppe Vesuviano with a police record, was arrested for resistance and violence against a public official and reported for violating the oral warning measure aggravated by the ban on possessing or using radio transmitting communication equipment, to which he is subjected, because he was found in possession of a cell phone.
