From today, “Love me, stanotte” by Neo blu, pseudonym of Mara Scippa, singer-songwriter and producer of EDM and Urban school, is available online. The song is supported by the video by director Cosimo Maynard.
Already the front woman of the trio Bia Rama, she debuts as a soloist with the single “Love me, stanotte”, a song with lyrics that are the result of a personal experience that many women share.
“The song talks about love and the trust you give your partner and even if it is not always reciprocated, it is not acceptable that there is no respect, especially when things go wrong in a relationship. Everyone deserves to receive respect and it is not always a given” – says Neo blu – “The topic is important and I wanted to express it with simple and direct words so that it reaches everyone. I sing on a drop that wants to “stir and move” the consciences and responsibilities of others, imagining making people dance and feel emotions. The text is written in English and Neapolitan, both languages that represent me. I think – he concludes – it is possible to love even by saying no, but you have to say it respecting the other”.
So it is born, Blue Neo.
The blue mole, which Mara has on her left temple, is a type of mole that should be monitored for the changes and transformations it can have and represents a metaphor for her life. Its unpredictable evolutions have also crossed Mara's life, who responds to the compromises of society, and therefore "controlling herself" (as for the mole), with grit and struggle to feel free.

For the singer, “blue” is also the color of the controller buttons through which she launches or records her tracks but it also represents the sky and the sea, the key elements of her homeland; between harmony and tranquility, disturbances, sadness and nostalgia, “blue” is the color that arouses all these emotions; the same ones that belong to her soul.
Mara, in addition to studying classical piano and obtaining a solfeggio license at the “Domenico Cimarosa” Conservatory of Avellino, is a speech therapist specializing in Artistic Voice with a post-graduate master's degree in “Physiopathology, Teaching and Rehabilitation of the Singing and Reciting Voice” at the University of Naples.
