Weather, Italian weekend between intense heat and storms. The African anticyclone will push temperatures up to peaks of 35 degrees in the Center-South and 40 degrees in Sardinia.
Between tomorrow and Monday, the 6th disturbance of the month will be responsible for strong thunderstorms in the north. The weekend will be characterized on one hand by the consolidation of the African anticyclone over the central Mediterranean, on the other by the slow approach from France of a disturbance, the 6th of July, towards the Alps and the north-western regions.
The very hot air mass of Saharan origin associated with high pressure will start the third strong heat wave of the season with temperatures rising towards numerous peaks above 35 degrees in the Center-South and peaks around 40 degrees possible as early as tomorrow in Sardinia.
After today's day in which instability will increase in the Alps, tomorrow's disturbance will extend the risk of thunderstorms to the North-West regions where we will record a first slight drop in temperatures. At the beginning of next week, the disturbance and the less warm air that accompanies it will advance more decisively over Northern Italy - warn meteorologists at iconameteo.it -, where even very intense thunderstorms could develop. The intense heat from Tuesday will begin to ease in the Center and Sardinia, while the South will have to endure very high temperatures even in the following days.
Forecast for the next few hours

Irregular clouds since the morning instead in the Alpine sector and part of the Northwest with some isolated showers or thunderstorms initially on the Aosta Valley, Piedmont reliefs and north-west of Lombardy. In pomeriggio local showers or thunderstorms possible along the Alps and Prealps with possible local incursions towards the Turin plain.
