Napoli. Drug dealing is still in the sights of the Carabinieri of the Naples Stella Operations Unit. The theater is Scampia, lot T/A of Via Fellini. Salvatore Di Tonno, a 35-year-old local and already known to the police, had been under observation for some time but the soldiers did not have to work hard to catch him with the drug. Once they monitored his route, they discovered that he was using an elevator to reach his "depot", on the upper floors of the building.
Then he went back down to the street. The carabinieri positioned themselves in front of the doors of the cabin on the ground floor and when they swung open Di Tonno, with his hands cupped, was casually carrying a small pile of doses of heroin.
60 to be precise. Also on him were 550 euros in cash believed to be illicit proceeds. In a home owned by the 35-year-old, the military then found and seized 16 doses of crack, 14 of cocaine and another 17 “balls” of heroin. Di Tonno is now in prison, awaiting trial.
