Annunziata Tower. Yesterday, the agents of the Torre Annunziata Police Station and the military of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza, with the support of the Campania Crime Prevention Unit and the Anti-Drug Canine Units of the Guardia di Finanza, carried out an extraordinary territorial control service in the “Piano Napoli” district of Boscotrecase and in the “Provolera” and “Penniniello” districts of Torre Annunziata.
During the operation, 79 people were identified, 21 of whom had previous police records, 45 vehicles were checked, one of which was subjected to administrative seizure, and three violations of the Highway Code were contested.
The police fined a person for possession of a narcotic substance for personal use as he was found in possession of approximately 6 grams of marijuana.
Furthermore, the financial police checked a man on board a motorcycle and found, in the under-seat compartment, 7 packs of cigarettes without the State Monopoly mark for a total weight of 1,5 kg and reported him for smuggling of foreign manufactured tobacco while the scooter was seized.
