The 9th edition of the Green Game, the educational project of the National Consortia for the Collection, Recycling and Recovery of aluminum packaging (CIAL), paper and cardboard (COMIECO), plastic (COREPLA), glass (COREVE) and steel (RICREA), with an exciting and surprising National Final, in which 145 secondary schools from all over Italy participated, fielding the best 3842 students.
A digital tour that recorded a record participation: over 33.000 students involved in an edition strongly desired by the National Consortia to give the kids the opportunity to participate in an innovative, educational and above all engaging way to an original teaching that touched on topics of fundamental importance such as the correct separate collection of packaging and environmental sustainability.
Live from Milan, the official presenters of the Green Game, Alvin Crescini and Stefano Leva, together with the representatives of the Consortia Gennaro Galdo for Cial, Claudia Rossi for Comieco, Monica De Giovanni for Corepla, Elena Ferrari for Coreve and Roccandrea Iascone for Ricrea who supported, cheered and encouraged the kids during the event.
"The aim of this tried and tested format was to outline the methods of correct management of packaging waste, focusing the attention of the kids on the enormous potential offered by recycling, not only in everyday life, but also thinking about their future as aware citizens.".
The students of the IB Eno of the ISS “Manlio Rossi Doria” of Marigliano reached the Final and obtained 5th place in the ranking; the students of the IIF and IA of the “Giuseppe Mercalli” High School of Naples, of the IIL and IH of the ISTS “Giuseppe Moscati” of Sant'Antimo (NA), of the ID of the “Tito Lucrezio Caro” High School of Naples and of the IIE and IIA of the ITI “Eugenio Barsanti” of Pomigliano d'Arco (NA) also stood out, obtaining excellent results, a symptom of great preparation on the part of the teachers.
The Italian Champions instead were the students of the IG of the “Galileo Galilei” Scientific High School of Lanciano, silver medal for the IC of the “Laurana Baldi” High School of Urbino (PU) and third place for the IIAF of the “Pascal – Comi – Forti” IIS of Teramo.
The title of “expert recycler” went to Riccardo C. from the IIS “Spagna Campani” in Spoleto who obtained the highest score among all the participating students. He will receive a special prize: a voucher for the
online shopping.
The Schools on the podium will be awarded with Vouchers for teaching materials or equipment worth €750,00 for 1st place, €500,00 for 2nd place and €250,00 for 3rd place.
Thus ends the 2022 National Recycling Championship: the Green Game staff together with Cial, Comieco, Corepla, Coreve and Ricrea thank the teachers for their precious collaboration and the School Principals who allowed participation in the educational project.
