All the names of the finalist singer-songwriters of the 18th Bianca d'Aponte Award: eleven artists selected.
The list of finalists of the 18th “Premio Bianca d'Aponte”, the competition for female singer-songwriters that has now become a fixed point in the Italian panorama of quality music, is stylistically very varied.
Eleven artists have been selected: Angelae (Angela Zanonato) from Padua, Candeo (Paola Candeo) from Milan, Giorgia Canton from Verona, Fefe (Federica Sartori) from Bolzano, Assia Fiorillo from Naples, Jole (Jole Canelli) from Savona, Jungle J. Anne (Giulia Covitto) from Grosseto, Lamo (Daniela Mornati) from Milan, Lula (Lucrezia Di Fiandra) from Rome, Moà (Martina Maggi) from Terni, Alessandra Nicita from Lecce.
The finals are scheduled at Cimarosa Theatre of Aversa on October 28 and 29, with the artistic direction of Ferruccio Spinetti and with Grazia Di Michele as godmother. In fact, every year the Award hosts a well-known artist who presides over the jury and proposes a song by Bianca d'Aponte, the singer-songwriter to whom the event is dedicated. To date, this role has been held by Arisa, Rachele Bastreghi (Baustelle), Rossana Casale, Chiara Civello, Ginevra di Marco, Cristina Donà, Irene Grandi, Elena Ledda, Petra Magoni, Andrea Mirò, Simona Molinari, Nada, Mariella Nava, Brunella Selo, Tosca, Paola Turci, Fausta Vetere.
As always, the finalists were selected in a month and a half of work by the Award Guarantee Committee, made up of dozens of professionals. They are producers, record producers, managers, singers, authors, musicians, journalists among the most important in the Italian music world. Many awards are up for grabs. The overall winner will receive the Bianca d'Aponte Award, with a scholarship of €1.000, participation as a guest at the next edition of the Award, three presentation concerts produced by Doc Live and the possibility of participating in the Premio dei Premi del Mei in Faenza. The winner of the “Fausto Mesolella” Critics' Award (historical artistic director of the event) will receive a scholarship of €800. Mentions will also be awarded for best text, best music and best interpretation.
In addition to these, there are various prizes awarded to some finalists directly by entities external to the organization or by individual judges. Among those confirmed is a scholarship at the Cet di Mogol by the 'Fondazione Jacqueline e Totò Savio'; the “Premio 'Na stella” (title of a song by Mesolella) by Virus Studio, with the recording of a song with the artistic production of Ferruccio Spinetti; a proposal for a year of legal and managerial assistance for the winning artist or other finalist by Siedas; a prize from Soundinside Basement Records consisting of the production of a live video in the studio and one from the Suoni dall'Italia label by Mariella Nava, with the proposal of a possible artistic collaboration. Furthermore, starting from this edition, Dcave records by the artistic producer Daniele Grasso offers a finalist the complete production of an EP of three songs.
