Shooting in Cirò Marina, six arrests were carried out between the municipality of the province of Crotone and Naples, by the Carabinieri of the Operational Unit of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Ciro' Marina Company and by those of the Provincial Command of Naples.

The operation stems from an order by the investigating judge of Catanzaro, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, and has led two people in prison and four under house arrest. The suspects are considered close to the clan local 'ndrangheta of Ciro' Marina and are accused, to varying degrees, of aggravated damage, devastation and looting, receiving stolen goods, illegal detention and illegal carrying in a public place of clandestine or common firearms. The investigations, coordinated by Dda driven by Nicola Gratteri, were born following events that occurred during the night between 13 and the 14 August last in the town of Ciro' Marina where numerous pistol and rifle shots were fired and vehicles and parts of a house were damaged. These goods belong to a 78 year old pensioner and 50 year old son, breeder, both originally from the area.
The investigations – through the examination of the images from the CCTV cameras of the circuits of video surveillance municipal and private individuals, together with the testimonies provided by the victims and numerous people informed of the facts - have allowed us to gather serious evidence on the events that occurred in mid-August.
