L'Antica Michele's Pizzeria opens in Amsterdam, tomorrow 20 October, in Eerste Van der Helststraat 72H.
“After the four Italian openings in September, with the thirty-second Antica Pizzeria Da Michele we arrive, for the first time, in the Netherlands”, explains Alessandro Condurro, CEO of l'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele in the world.
“The pizzeria – he explains – is located in the de Pijp district, on a small island south of the center of Amsterdam. Among the areas of the city most populated by young people, it is a lively, trendy and multicultural area, full of international cuisine restaurants and numerous night clubs.
The venue is located within walking distance of famous tourist sites, such as the Heineken Experience and the Albert Cuyp Market, a perfect location for a place many call 'the temple of pizza'.
The pizzeria, we read in a note, is furnished in a classic style with references to Italy: the floor is in terracotta, above it a ceiling with a hanging garden, enriched with flowers and lemons, and at the entrance the neon sign also present in the three English locations (London Baker Street, London Soho and Manchester): “I want someone to look at me the same way I look at pizza”.
The bar welcomes customers, to drink cocktails while waiting for the main course, namely pizza, prepared in a gold-colored oven located at the back of the restaurant. The menu includes traditional wagon wheel pizzas, margherita and marinara, but also special ones, to satisfy the most diverse palates, first courses, second courses, typical Neapolitan desserts, beers and wines, also branded “L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele”.
