Yesterday afternoon, officers from the Vasto-Arenaccia Police Station checked a man in Via Ferdinando Manlio and found that the man, a 36-year-old Neapolitan, had left his home where he is under house arrest for property crimes and, therefore, they arrested him for evasion.
Then, with the support of the Local Police personnel and the Campania Crime Prevention Department, they carried out an extraordinary territorial control service in the Vasto district, in particular in the Poderico and Santa Maria della Fede squares, in Corso Garibaldi, Meridionale and Novara and in the streets Firenze, Bologna and Parma.
During the operation, 143 people were identified, 45 of whom had a police record, and 71 vehicles were checked, two of which were subjected to administrative seizure.
Furthermore, 458 violations of the Highway Code were contested for parking and stopping violations, lack of insurance coverage, failure to display vehicle registration documents, driving without a license and driving with an expired license.
Finally, the operators removed 3 vehicles because they were found in a state of abandonment.
