Francesca Colapietro and Mariano Bellopede in “The Thousand and One Naples: Naples
eat and laugh”
Thursday 24 November, 21pm
The couple Francesca Colapietro and Mariano Bellopede return for a new series of “sung conferences” of the Neapolitan Song Theater, entitled “Le mille e una Napoli”.
Thursday, November 24, at 21 pm, the first of three events, dedicated to the theme “Naples eats and laughs”, with text by Carmine Borrino.
This gastronomic journey unfolds through songs, stories, poems and anecdotes, which ironically tell us about the importance of food in Neapolitan tradition: a mirror of society, an opportunity for political satire, or even a metaphor for love and even eroticism.
Here is a path that goes from the Pisano-Cioffi couple to Pino Daniele, from Modugno to the Nccp, from Giambattista Basile to Eduardo De Filippo.
Guests of the evening are EbbaneSis, namely Viviana Cangiano and Serena Pisa.
The singer Colapietro and the pianist Bellopede, who also took care of the
arrangements, are on stage accompanied by the drummer Marco Fazzari and the
double bass player Luigi Fiscale, as well as Gino's voiceover
Curcione.
The production is by Trianon Viviani.
Patrizio Rispo and Diego Moreno in “Dieguito’s Tango. The D10s of the
ball”
Friday 25 November, 21 pm
Friday, November 25th marks the second anniversary of the passing of
Diego Maradona.
For this occasion, the Trianon Viviani hosts “Il tango di Dieguito”, at 21 pm, a recital in words and music that is above all an act of love towards a great champion, placed under the patronage of the Argentine Embassy in Italy.
“El D10s de la pelota”, as the subtitle of the show says, was and still is a strong bond between Naples and Buenos Aires and between Italy and Argentina.
And, in fact, this show was born from the meeting between the Argentine Diego Moreno, Neapolitan by adoption, creator of the “TangoScugnizzo”, composer, singer and guitarist, and the famous Neapolitan actor, Patrizio Rispo, whose character in the successful soap opera Un posto al sole, Raffaele Giordano, is precisely a super fan of the Pibe de oro. With them, in writing the text, the university professor Paolo Romano, curator of various artistic events.
The show is aimed not only at the many fans of the great Diego, but also at the wider audience of lovers of the great stories, music and dance of these two nations.
The text is also inspired by writings on Maradona, by authors such as Gianni Minà, Maurizio de Giovanni, Ciro Ferrara, Edoardo Galeano, Osvaldo Soriano, Arcucci, Cherquis Bialo, Diego Román, Salvatore Biazzo, Tommy Mandato and Marco Ciriello and many others. And it also gives space to two unpublished texts written specifically for the show: the first by Antonello Perillo, deputy director of the Rai regional news outlet, who tells a story that remained unknown for decades; and the second by Maurizio de Giovanni, who drew a beautiful parallel between Naples and Diego.
As for the musical plan, in addition to the original melodies written by Diego Moreno, there is space for pieces by Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Gardel, María Elena Walsh, Fito Páez, Domenico Modugno, Renato Carosone, Chico Buarque, Manu Chao, Rodrigo and Fausto Cigliano.
On stage, together with Rispo and Moreno, five musicians and two tango artists will seal this meeting between Italy and Argentina, to the sound of typical instruments such as the bandoneón and the charango.
Eddy Napoli in “Viva Napoli”
Saturday 26 November, 21pm
On Saturday 26 November, at 21pm, Eddy Napoli will take to the stage of the Teatro della Canzone napoletana with the recital “Viva Napoli”.
The son of Vincenzo De Crescenzo, author of the famous song Luna rossa, offers viewers a sung and narrated journey that unfolds from the end of the nineteenth century to the present day, with tributes to some pillars of entertainment and culture, such as Luciano De Crescenzo, Totò, Massimo Troisi, Renato Carosone and Roberto Murolo.
The songs performed by the Neapolitan artist will be made more suggestive by the projection of videos and photos from the archive on a giant LED wall, curated by Enzo De Crescenzo, the author's nephew and Eddy's son, as well as the DJ of "Made in Sud".
Accompanying Eddy Napoli is the Luna Rossa Orchestra, made up of Peppe Cantarella (piano), Enzo Dc (dj programmer), Michele Cordova (classical guitar and mandolin), Ermanno Romano (classical guitar), Guido Della Gatta (electric guitar), Teodoro Delfino (percussion), Enrico Camasso (bass), Giuseppe Fusco (drums), Federica Di Vaio (keyboard and backing vocals), Peppe Fiscale (trumpet), Alessandro Tedesco (trombone) and Nicola Rando (sax).
Veronica Maya & Millennium ensemble in “The Brothers Grimm’s Fairy Tales”
Sunday 27th November, 18pm
In the Trianon Viviani program, the artistic director Marisa Laurito has also thought of events for the younger audience and for the whole family to spend a joyful afternoon of celebration.
It starts on Sunday 27 November, at 18 pm, with Veronica Maya & Millennium ensemble in “The Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm”.
The well-known television showgirl and five wind instruments, capable of reproducing animal sounds, will introduce young and old spectators to musical instruments in a fun way through the story of two fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm: The Town Musicians of Bremen and The Frog Prince.
The work of the composer Giuseppe Bonafine and Vincenzo Corraro for the rewriting of the texts was born, in fact, with the educational intent of making children discover a world of sounds and words, capable of stimulating interest in the art forms of music and literature, entertaining and amusing them at the same time. The instrumental ensemble chosen is the classical wind quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon), with the intervention, from time to time, of some percussion instruments, for the production of particular acoustic effects, such as the cry of the frog with the güiro, the breaking of glass with the cymbals, or a big kick with the bass drum.
The predominant musical form is that of the sound commentary, almost cinematographic, of the literary text and in each of the fairy tales there is a little song that unites the musicians and the narrator with the audience in the stalls.
The latter has the fundamental role of bringing the story to life, providing young audiences with a captivating interpretation.
The Millennium ensemble is composed of Fabio Angelo Colajanni (flute), Massimo Lamarra (oboe), Emanuele Geraci (clarinet), Paolo De Gasperis (horn) and Gaetano Lo Bue (bassoon).
The show is punctuated by the projection of videos and animated illustrations created by Giovanni Iannozzi.
The production is by Assoflute, with the patronage of Conadi, the National Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents, which for sixteen years has promoted the project Il Mondo delle Favole in Italy and abroad.
