Fantasy Day, a historic event created by the Altanur Cultural Association and dedicated to the world of Fantasy, is enriched this year with the Fantasy Day Film Festival.
Born in 2007, today Fantasy Day is among the most important events dedicated to the genre in Southern Italy and the Fantasy Day Film Festival will give the public the opportunity to look at the varied and beautiful world of Fantasy through the eyes of the seventh art, as well as increasingly promoting Campania as a "Cultural Center of Fantasy".
The Fantasy Day Film Festival was born from an idea by director Salvatore De Chiara and will take place on 9, 10 and 11 June 2023 during Fantasy Day at Villa Bruno in S. Giorgio a Cremano, a municipality in the province of Naples. Short films of a maximum duration of 20′, made starting from 1 January 2020, can participate in the Festival, as Salvatore De Chiara states: “While the theme of Fantasy Day 2023 will be transmutation, the shorts that will participate in the Festival will be able to range within the fantasy genre from science fiction to horror, from the supernatural to the dreamlike and any other subgenre that breaks away from reality to offer an imaginative look at the world. The nominations will close on February 28, 2023”.
The jury, composed of members of the cinema and audiovisual sectors, will award the following prizes: Best Film; Jury Prize; Special Transmutation Prize for the work most in line with the theme of Fantasy Day 2023; Audience Prize; Social Short Mention.
Shorts will be accepted only if uploaded to the Film Freeway platform at the link: https://filmfreeway.com/fantasydayfilmfestival. For all the info, just connect to the site www.fantasyday.it (Ren) NNNN
