Last Saturday, the first sexy pastry shop in Naples of the Mr. Dick chain opened in Vomero, in the very central Via Scarlatti, at number 192.
Until a few months ago, there was a perfume shop in the same place and controversy immediately broke out. Not so much and not only for the umpteenth activity that increasingly sees the neighborhood transformed into a large fast food but mainly for the shapes of the sweets produced and displayed in the windows.
The Mr. Dick chain has had enormous success thanks to a series of light-hearted films and videos featuring VIPs and stars from the worlds of cinema, sports, television and business because the sweets recall the shapes of male and female genitals.
Gennaro Capodanno, president of the Comitato Valori collinari, former president of the Vomero district, comes down hard on the sexy pastry shop: "Immediately after it opened, I received a message from a mother, also a teacher, who has lived in Vomero for years, who, after having observed that Vomero has now transformed into a terrible neighborhood, called attention to the opening of the new pastry shop that "churns out sweets in the shape of penises and vaginas".
“What should I say to my daughters when they pass by there?” she added, proposing a petition on the matter.
"A controversy that is not new - adds Capodanno - which had already erupted on social media in October last year in Salerno, at the opening of a pastry shop that produced sweets in the shape of male and female genitals, criticizing the choice to allow the opening of a place of this kind in one of the historic places of the Campania city".
New Year's Eve, on this occasion, once again urges the administration to adopt, in a timely manner, a series of measures in the commercial tertiary sector, aimed at avoiding the proliferation of activities dedicated to the sale and supply of food and drinks, especially in some areas of the City, such as Vomero, also with a renewed trade plan that protects historical and traditional activities, encouraging such openings, also by young people, with concessions and contributions
