Extraordinary checks yesterday evening in Naples in the area of Piazza Garibaldi and surrounding areas. In action, law enforcement, Metropolitan and local police, as well as, for specific profiles, units of the ASL Napoli 1 and the Labor Inspectorate.
As part of the activity - scheduled in the Forum of the metropolitan cities of Rome, Milan and Naples, held at the Viminale on 16 December and chaired by the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi in the presence of the prefects and mayors involved - 2.157 people were checked, of whom 22 were reported and 3 arrested.
Checks were carried out on 193 vehicles, of which 2 were seized, and 86 public establishments, with the identification of 4 undeclared or irregular workers. 123 law enforcement personnel were employed, 8 from the municipal and metropolitan police and 42 from other entities. The tax violations detected were 7, in addition to another 137 of another nature.
Yesterday's checks follow those carried out on January 16 and 18. The activity - planned within the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety, which is part of the synergy established between the Prefecture, the Municipality of Naples, the Police Force, ASL Napoli 1 and the Labour Inspectorate - is an expression "of an organic approach to the issue of urban security common to large metropolises, with a continuity of interventions – we read in the note from the prefecture of Naples – which will produce consolidated results, aimed at increasing the decorum and redevelopment of the urban context".
