Ceremony inside the “G. Salvia” prison in Poggioreale di Napoli for the civil union between GD
and AG, aged 35 and 32 respectively, with one of the two spouses temporarily detained in the Salerno pavilion.This is – Arcigay underlines in a note – the first civil union inside Poggioreale. The ceremony, celebrated by a person in charge of the civil registry office of the Municipality inside the Magistrates' Hall, was attended by the Management of the prison together with some educators of the facility.

Among the participants also Antonello Sannino, president of Antinoo Arcigay Napoli, Rosa Rubino and Pasquale Ferro (the latter also as a witness), volunteers of the project “Beyond the wall” – the result of a memorandum of understanding between the association and the District Prison (together with the Sinapsi University Centre of the Federico II University of Napoli and the Genere Identità e Cultura Foundation) and which will also be extended to the Secondigliano prison – aimed at creating psychological, legal, but also recreational-literary support for homosexual and transsexual inmates in the Neapolitan prison.
A significant moment – as underlined in the note from Arcigay. “It was a special experience to see G. and A.'s dream come true even in an unusual context like prison,” says Rosa, who, together with Pasquale and the facility's managers, contributed to the organization of the event. “But it was also an important and significant moment in the project that Antinoo Arcigay Napoli has been carrying out for several years within the facility.”
