San Giorgio a Cremano, April 28, 2023 – A Festival entirely dedicated to short films and professions related to cinema. The first edition of the Cremano Film Festival is underway, with a gala evening on Saturday, April 29 in the Fonderia Righetti, in Villa Bruno. The event will begin at 20:XNUMX pm, presented by Massimo De Matteo, who is also the artistic director, and Gianni Parisi. Special godmother, Nunzia Schiano.
The Cremano Film Festival, organized by Mayor Giorgio Zinno, with Deputy Mayor Pietro De Martino and the Vesuvius Film Observatory, saw over 240 short films in competition, which were selected and judged by a technical jury composed of members of the Vesuvius Film Observatory, actors Gianni Parisi and Antonio Milo and Professor Giuseppina Scognamiglio, a lecturer at the Federico II University of Naples.
The winning shorts will be announced and the prizes for “Best Short, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Actress” will be awarded.
The “Cremano Different” award will then be given to the short film voted by the students of the city’s high schools, following the cinematography Masterclass in which they participated for free, as part of the project. Finally, a “special award” will be awarded directly by the popular jury present in the audience. A posthumous career recognition will then go to Enzo Cannavale and will be collected by the children of the great Neapolitan actor.
The gala evening will be free to enter until all seats are taken and will be attended by actors, directors and screenwriters from the national scene.
“Our city has a very evident artistic vocation – said Mayor Giorgio Zinno – This is evidenced by the many talents that, from Massimo Troisi onwards, were born in San Giorgio a Cremano. We want to dedicate to them for the first time a festival that highlights these different professions and the different forms of audiovisual language”.
