Salvia “was killed on the orders of the Camorra boss, Raffaele Cutolo. Salvia stopped the boss, known as 'o professore, from rising to power from inside the prison, and that is why, while he was driving his car without any escort, Salvia was killed.

The organizers of the “XNUMXst Giuseppe Salvia National Award” received the Medal of the Presidency of the Italian Republic from the Head of State, Sergio Mattarella, and the Medal of Representation of the Senate of the Republic from the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, while the ceremony received, among others, the patronage of the Ministries of Justice, the Interior, Defense and the Campania Region.
