Photos of dozens of smashed and vandalized cars parked in Piazzale D'Annunzio in front of the Maradona stadium during the Napoli - Salernitana match were sent by embittered residents and citizens to the deputy of the Green Left Alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli. Shattered windshields, broken windshield wipers, smashed roofs full of rubbish.
“As a nurse, in 30 years of volunteer service at the stadium I had never witnessed such out-of-control revelry. Drunk and excited boys were jumping on parked cars, even on mine, which was completely destroyed.
There were no police forces to ask to intervene and alone I didn't feel like facing dozens of completely drunk kids in the best of cases". This is the outburst of one of the victims of the vandals who sent photos of the damage suffered to the deputy Borrelli.
"Let's not call all this cheering, this is pure delinquency, it's vandalism. What does attachment to one's team and the colors of the flag have to do with setting a city on fire and causing huge damage to people and things? Sick and violent minds are the real danger during gatherings and mass movements because they express all their delinquent potential.
These are the subjects to be kept under control. We need controls and controls also among the people, not only to guard the gates and roads, especially in the upcoming events at the San Paolo and during the probable championship party", said Borrelli.
