Naples. Yesterday afternoon, the State Police executed an order for the application of a precautionary measure in prison, issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against Antonio Nocerino, 28 years old, considered seriously suspected of the crimes of attempted extortion aggravated by the mafia method and robbery to the detriment of an entrepreneur in the Ponticelli area.
The precautionary measure is the result of an investigative activity conducted by the Flying Squad of Napoli, with the collaboration of the Police Station Ponticelli, and culminated with the referral of Antonio Nocerino known as “brodino”.
The investigations, in fact, have allowed us to gather serious evidence of guilt against the suspect, accused of having extorted the sum of thirty thousand euros, taking advantage of the intimidating capacity of the Bodo / De Micco clan active in that neighborhood.
The victim, in addition to suffering damage to his business, was also forced to close the business. Investigations are now continuing to establish and trace any accomplices.
Nocerino had been released from prison after 8 years of imprisonment only last September. He had been arrested in the summer of 2014 in a village of Agropoli where he had taken refuge after fleeing from a community where he was serving another precautionary measure received as a minor.
On that occasion he was accused and convicted of attempted murder, in relation to the ambush committed against Carmine Aloia, which occurred on January 9, 2014.
