NapoliYesterday afternoon, the agents of the General Prevention Office, during the territorial control service, on the orders of the Operations Center, intervened in via Nazario Sauro corner via Marino Turchi, for a report of a man stopped after stealing a telephone.
The operators, who arrived on the scene, identified the man as a 28-year-old Moroccan, ascertaining that shortly before he had taken possession of a woman's smartphone and then fled.
The brother of the same, after having located the cell phone in via Sauro and called 113, had identified the man asking him to give him back the phone but, faced with his refusal, a fight had ensued until the officers arrived.
Furthermore, the police found the 28-year-old in possession of two smartphones, one of which corresponded to the one stolen shortly before while the other was stolen on June 1st, therefore the operators contacted the owner to return it.
The latter, at the police station, recognized the man as the one who, immediately after the theft, had answered her phone number demanding that she give him 200 euros to get her phone back. The 28-year-old with a police record was reported for improper robbery and attempted extortion.
