The PURA Smart Veg Farmhouse in Alvignano, in the province of Caserta, will host – SATURDAY 10 JUNE 2023 (21.00 pm) – “RINO! Under an ever-bluer sky”, the show/journey in words and music with the storyteller/journalist Michelangelo Iossa and the musician Osvaldo Bianchi.
“RINO!” is an engaging show/journey made of words and music, created by the writer Michelangelo Iossa, author of the successful biography “Rino Gaetano – Sotto un cielo sempre più blu” (Hoepli Editore Editore) which acts as a compass for the entire story.
On stage, Michelangelo Iossa and Osvaldo Bianchi, a musician and singer-songwriter who has been performing Rino Gaetano's songs with authentic passion and deep respect for many years, alternate, flank and converse.
After having graced the stages of important theatre and music festivals such as the FLA – Festival di Libri e Altrecose in Pescara, the Social Xmas in Naples and the Castelbasso Festival, the show with Iossa and Bianchi returns to Campania.
From his childhood in Crotone to his school years in Narni, passing through the Folkstudio in Rome and the Sanremo Festival, up to the fatal accident on Via Nomentana and the incredible cult that has developed over the last few decades: Salvatore Antonio Gaetano, known to all as Rino, is the protagonist of a long story that blends together Magna Graecia, the Roman singer-songwriter school, the Seventies, mockery, reggae and the women of many songs, from Berta to Gianna who “defended her salary from inflation”.
The show with Iossa and Bianchi tells the story of Rino Gaetano, starting from his south, from the first guitar chords imprisoned in a notebook, from his adolescent myths. The songs, the move to Rome, the boarding school in Narni and the encounter with the Roman music scene allow the young Calabrian singer-songwriter to find his own personal expressive path that lights up the late Seventies with irregular hits that were much loved by the general public: “Ma il cielo è sempre più blu”, “Nuntereggaepiù”, “Aida” and, of course, “Gianna”.
