“Collaborating with Davide Rossi was a huge achievement for me, as well as a great honor that I will carry with me throughout my career. I met a special person, very helpful and open to discussion, who, being himself a lover of electronic music, artistically (but also on a human level) gave me so much; I love his lyrics and the way he approaches music. When I received the call from my producer Federico Paciotti proposing this collaboration, I almost didn't believe his words... I took a few minutes to think and then called him back immediately to start producing the piece... I was thrilled.
I believe that collaborations are a fundamental part because they enrich the project but above all the life of the artist himself”.
For an artist like Albasax, born Daniele Dominici, a Roman singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and performer who graduated from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory, it is easy to understand how music is everything, or even an illness as he himself states.
It is equally true that in his words, just reported here, the enthusiasm for the collaboration with Davide Rossi, the son of the great Vasco, is evident. Less obvious is the fact that a multi-instrumentalist, who emerged from the academic world, is attracted by musical worlds that are light years away from the theoretical studies carried out.
The statements about Davide Rossi reveal the singer-songwriter's rock soul. But it quickly turns out that EDM (Electro Dance Music) is the true territory of the artist who grew up on the Lazio coast. And if this musical territory is often associated with repetitive and redundant formulas, Albasax surprises us. The LED suit he wears and with which he performs, which lights up in time to the music, was conceived and designed together with his mother, and is an expression of his visionary spirit not without a pinch of madness that animates his live concerts, authentic multisensory events where you can have an emotional and immersive experience. And then he puts his voice to it, he exposes himself, he has notable talents as a musician. The Sax present in his stage name is a perfect combination for electronic music.
The absolutes of time, whether by addition or subtraction, abound on our lips when we are teenagers. Starting from this consideration, Albasax wanted to write Stringimi e dimmi che sarà per sempre. Especially when it comes to love, with the person he loves (the song is a special dedication to the wonderful relationship he is experiencing at the moment, which has made his life more beautiful and which gives meaning to the songs he writes) and the phrase «Stringimi e dimmi che sarà per sempre» contains precisely the paradox of forever that tends to infinity, when you know that in life everything is over. In this cry of desperation, the Roman singer-songwriter asks music to hold him tight.
Produced by Federico Paciotti, the song features the collaboration of Davide Rossi in a considerable way. This is what Davide Rossi says about Albasax: “A dedicated, serious, humble artist, in love with what he is doing, to whom I willingly and affectionately dedicate this song written from the heart for music…”.
Voice, Sax and Console, Albasax, puts all the elements of EDM, his universe of belonging. It is a special dedication to the most important thing, to his "illness" as he says in the song: music! Those who have a dream as big and strong as his live daily with the doubt of whether once the goal is achieved all this will last forever.
Daniele/Albasax writes this song thinking of the many people who, like him, fight every day to make their dreams come true, sacrificing a lot, but also for those who at least once in their life have felt alone, overwhelmed by problems that they didn't think they could even remotely solve.
Between instrumental parts and sung parts, Stringimi e dimmi che sarà per sempre is a liberating song, which asks to be danced above all. In the song there is an instrumental part in which synthesizers play a simple but easily memorable riff that represents what the artist likes to call “THE PARTY”, in which one lets loose and dance, a bit like the great idols who inspire him (Avicii, Lady Gaga, David Guetta, Timmy Trumpet and Afro Jack).
Precisely through the body movement induced by the song, music allows us to hold and embrace each other. Between nostalgia and illness.
