There is a weather alert of Civil protection of the Campania Region of Yellow color for sudden and rapid rains and thunderstorms, even of strong intensity (with possible lightning, hail and gusts of wind).
This alert concerns the entire territory and ends at 20pm tonight. From the same time and for the following 24 hours (therefore from 20.01pm until 20pm tomorrow, Sunday 6 August) a wind alert comes into force.
The Civil Protection itself, in accordance with the assessments of the Functional Centre of the Region, has in fact issued a new warning for “Locally strong north-westerly winds, tending to become westerly from the late morning of Sunday 06 August.
Rough sea, especially along the coasts exposed to the winds”. Mayors and competent authorities are advised to maintain active all measures aimed at preventing, mitigating and countering phenomena connected to hydrogeological risk (flooding, landslides, falling rocks, inundations, runoff with transport of material on the roads, etc.).
It is also recommended to monitor the correct maintenance of public greenery and structures exposed to the stress of winds and wave motion (including scaffolding, road signs, systems, etc.). The wind and sea alert, as is known, is not associated with any color code.
