Magic unfolds at Dum Dum Republic. Poets, songwriters, musicians, dreamers, travelers, all together in a great collective performance for a very special night.
The stars, space of the imagination, dimension of dreams and fantasy, become inspiration for “La Chitarra e le Stelle”, the Dum Dum Republic Festival in its third edition, eagerly awaited for the night of San Lorenzo.
An entire day, in a space-time dilation, between music and concerts, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday 9 August 2023, for the most special night of the year, illuminated by the light of the stars, with eyes and telescopes turned towards the sky.
And then one, ten, one hundred guitars ready to play in unison, accompanying the great live acts, which will alternate from dusk to dusk.
Once again the Factory “en plein air” on the sea becomes a space of contamination, intersection, music, new avant-gardes, sound research, exploration and discovery of new languages. A place where you can make art and where you can express your talent and creativity, free to be yourself.
The Dum Dum Republic calls upon its lovers, incurable romantics and astrophiles.
The goal is to give people back the poetry of admiring the beauty of nature.
“Dreamers! Let’s take back the wonder. Too often we take for granted the beauty that surrounds us, caught up in a thousand thoughts. What is more beautiful than a starry night by the sea? – writes Biancaluna Bifulco, owner and inspirer of the philosophy that animates the Dum Dum Republic – With enchanted gaze we will lie on the beach contemplating the stars, trying to catch one as it dives into the sea, feeling it inside our beating heart. Astronomers will reveal the secrets of the universe to us, a hundred guitars will accompany us on the journey to the stars.
What is the route? You ask. The answer is always the same: “Second star to the right … and then straight on, until morning…”. Let’s take back the wonder, boys and all the stars in the August sky”.
The protagonists of the concerts in the seaside arena are the Italian guitarist, composer and record producer Finaz, founder together with Enrico “Erriquez” Greppi of the Tuscan folk rock group Bandabardò. Alternating with him is the rapper, soulman and singer-songwriter from Naples, PeppOh.
In the afternoon, a guitar workshop open to the public, part of the broader program developed over the years by Dum Dum Republic, with lessons on the beach throughout the summer. The opening of the live shows will be entrusted to the young musicians Stre, Bif, Faderica and Indificio.
DUM DUM, A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE OF MUSIC AND WELLBEING
The month of August will not only be about music and great concerts, but also wellness at Dum Dum Republic, with “Aperi-Sana”, the Wellness Aperitifs by “Holistic Namanj”.
Dum Dum Republic, a pioneer also for Yoga lessons on the beach, continues its vision dedicated to the well-being of the body, mind and spirit with a series of unique and engaging activities, to spend a unique and regenerating day at the seaside.
Starting in August, the area dedicated to Shiatsu, Reiki treatments, massage with cupping techniques, Hawaiian and dynamic meditation is open. And from 18.30:XNUMX pm it will be possible to participate in bio-dance on the beach.
