The investigating judge has requested further investigations Napoli against a man, the adoptive father of an adult girl, who, after discovering his daughter's homosexuality, installed a camera in the girl's room to spy on her. After 12 years living in a Lithuanian orphanage, Rebecca (fictitious name) began a new life in Italy, with a little sister, thanks to that adoption.
The first few years passed peacefully, then the girl's homosexuality, initially hidden and later revealed, first to her mother and then to her father, turned into a problem, especially for the parent, who began spying on her with a hidden camera. The judicial authority deemed the crime of illicit interference in the girl's private life in relation to the installation of the camera right in front of her daughter's bed to exist and requested further investigations.
In the meantime, the relationship between the young woman and her parents deteriorated and she left home. “I expected a normal relationship from my parents,” says Rebecca, “without secrets, understanding. I also hoped they would have a more open mind, which unfortunately didn’t happen.” Together with her lawyer, Sergio Pisani, Rebecca, who delivered audio recordings and chat conversations, also reported that her father, pretending to be non-existent people, had attempted to induce her to perform sexual acts on the web.
However, after having analyzed the documents, the judge deemed that type of crime to be non-existent. For the judicial authority, in essence, "the eccentric and (at least apparently) 'despicable' behavior" of the man "would only constitute a set-up, aimed at provoking his daughter and inducing her to reveal her sexual experiences to him: this with the aim of understanding her orientation and whether it was actually concretized in intimate relationships with other girls".
